Typhoon Reming
Just a quick note to let you know that we are safe and well in Boracay. We understand that there have been many casulties and damage in the Eastern parts of the Philippines as well as in and near Manila.
We did experience part of the typhoon while we were in Bongabong but there was no damage that we could detect, and the town was lucky not to experience much force.

Good to hear! We were a little worried about you. There was an article yesterday (in the SMH) about fears of a tsunami as well.

Thanks for the thoughts, we were a bit worried at the time, having never experienced a typhoon before.
Happy to say that we're safe and working on the tan now that Durian's passed and we've been able to get to Boracay.

Just checked out your photos on Flicker, they look awesome. You've really got a hang of your camera haven't you? I heard yesterday there are more typhoons headed that way, and there is a travel warning here about terrorist attacks in the Philippines!!
Why don't you guys go to Hawaii like nomral people? HA HA!!
